We are a small kennel located in Alberta, Canada. Focusing on the preservation of Dalmatians with an emphasis on temperament, health and conformation. Red Rock Kennels was established in 2019 but we have been participating in dog sports since 2015 when we started conformation shows with 'Izzy'. We currently have 4 Dalmatians, 'Bandit' our first Dal we purchased in 2014. He's the one who made us fall in love with the breed, dals are like potato chips, you can't have just one. 'Izzy' our second Dal, we got back in 2015 from great friends and mentors, Bonnie and John Hetherington from Echoview Dalmatians. 'Echo' born out of our Izzy/Yukon 2019 litter and 'Cupid' from our Izzy/Onyx 2020 litter. The last two years with many shows cancelled we've been expanding our interests and have enjoyed trying our hands at barnhunt, obedience, tricks and agility. With such a versitile breed we are planning on doing more sports in 2022.
All of our dogs live within our home and are often found napping on the couch. They are free to roam our property throughout the day. And just like our dogs our puppies are raised under foot. The first few weeks they are kept to the whelping room, but as they grow so does their space.
We thoroughly test our breeding stock included but not limited to BAER tests, OFA hips, elbows, thyroid, eyes and vet checked before breeding. We also strive for our breeding stock to reach a Championship title in the show ring. And before our puppies head to their forever homes they are microchipped, vaccinated, BAER tested, temperament tested and vet checked and have a temperament and health guarantee. We are here for continued support throughout your puppies life.
We are members of the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) and DCC (Dalmatian Club of Canada). We are also supporters of the LUA project, all Dalmatians are crucial to the preservation of the breed therefore we may at times have LUA or HUA litters.
